Wander the endless and cavernous halls of the Louvre and you just might run across a similar scene... an artist meticulously replicating a famous master.
Greek adventures, stunning beaches on the island of Milos, crooked Athenian cab drivers, precarious mountain roads, layovers in a surprising Roissy and hurricanes... so much to post, so much to catch up on. I'll have some great tips coming up in the next few weeks with plenty of pictures of fascinating places like Tsigrado, Yerontas and Klima.
Our trip to Milos was an absolute dream and our journey began to draw to a close with some unexpected twists and turns. This is what is so great about traveling... you never know what to expect. More to come soon... in the meantime, the next time you get stuck at Roissy by CDG in Paris, don't fret - the tiny little town actually has a bit to offer the weary traveler.
Concierge.com has just added a video page to its web page. It includes a handful of quick stylish videos on New York City, Miami, Paris, London and Rio de Janeiro. The longest one I spotted was nearly 7 minutes long and it was on "24 Hours in Paris". Some focus on the city as a while while others drill down into hotels, shopping, etc. They provide brief snippets of these particular destinations and I'm sure they'll add more destinations. In some cases, you can even watch videos with an interactive map so you can hop from location to location.
Before you read another word, know that I'm not referring to Canada. In fact, while this slice of France is adjacent to Canada, it is indeed part of France.
This morning I spotted an article from Lonely Planet in the Houston Chronicle on the tiny islands of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon... two islands off of the coast of Newfoundland that are self-governing territories of France. Who knew?
Has anyone ever had any experience with Saint-Pierre et Miquelon? Apparently one world record-setting couple has stopped by.
